Professional CAD for Linux – extra 3D modeling and fully programmable

ARES Commander Edition is the first professional CAD solution to run across Microsoft® Windows®, Apple® Mac® OS and Linux, providing the ability to seamlessly exchange files across all three supported OS platforms.

The user interface is built on Qt technology, which means that it looks and works the same on Linux, Macintosh, and Windows computers. It features dockable toolbars, right-click shortcut menus, command line input, palettes, and a brand-new ToolMatrix.

ARES Commander Edition for Linux runs on 32-bit versions of Ubuntu® 9.10 Gnome, Fedora® 11 Gnome, Suse® 11.2 Gnome, Mandriva® 2010 Gnome and KDE, or higher versions. Support for other Linux versions is in progress.

ARES for Linux supports nearly all of the almost 400 commands in the Window version, including 3D ACIS-based solid modeling. Two additional features – VoiceNotes and spell checking - will be included soon.

It does not support the specific Windows Object Linking and Embedding (OLE) and the export of Enhanced Windows Metafile (EMF) images.

ARES Commander Edition for Linux supports application development through Lisp, C/C++, and the DRX API. Windows specific technologies like VSTA, ActiveX, and COM. LISP encryption are not supported.
